Let Christmas not become a thing Merely of merchant’s trafficking, Of tinsel, bell and holly wreath And surface pleasure, but beneath The childish glamour, let us find Nourishment for soul and mind. Let us follow kinder ways Through our teeming human maze, And help the age of peace to come From a Dreamer’s martyrdom.

Day 29
Reflect: Goals for the next 30 days.
Rid myself of desires. Rid myself of vanities.
Recuperate physically. Eat healthy, work out more and hone six pack. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.
Meditate, pray, regain my focus and stamina.
Work, work, work. Save, save, save.
Write, write, write. Start that novel, play with poetry ideas, reply to all letters.
Read, read, read.
Watch good movies....
Day 28
Reflect: Something that you miss.
I miss the adrenaline rush of whitewater kayaking. I miss the sandy shores and the reed marshes of Caumsett Park. I miss feeling like the lazy summer day would never end. I miss wanting to catch Santa in action. I miss those years when I could put off thinking about my future. I miss being in love with her. I miss feeling like life seemed like an eternity. I miss...
Day 27
Reflect: A problem that you have had.
Too many to remember. I always have problems; I am always in a struggle. Not unlike anyone else in the world. But I have and always will overcome to live another day.
Day 26
Reflect: What kind of person attracts you.
I am attracted to people of conviction. A man of his word. A woman who knows her worth. A man who is not afraid to show both his good and the bad. A woman who can make meaningful conversation. A man with a vision. A woman who loves children. A man who respects his elders and cares for his friends. A woman who does not waver with the weather. A man who...
Day 25
Reflect: Someone who fascinates you and why.
James Dean really fascinates me. Abandoned and neglected by his parents, he grew up in a world of his own, shy and reluctant. He was possessed of angst and anxiety yet he exuded so much charisma in his presence. He embodied all that is rebellious and unsettled of teenage years in Rebel Without a Cause, before his stardom came to an abrupt halt on a...
Day 24
Reflect: Your favorite movie and what it’s about.
My favorite movie is Diarios de Motocicleta. It chronicles the adventures of the youthful Ernesto “Che” Guevara and his friend, Alberto Granado throughout South America. It’s a beautiful film, well worth the watch.
Day 23
Reflect: Give pictures of 5 girls who are famous who you find attractive.
I’ve been fascinated by these women who, in my opinion, have always embodied a certain X-factor, in their intellect, dress, maturity, mannerisms, musical talent, etc.
Natalie Portman
Emma Watson
Miranda Kerr
Honey Lee
Han Byul Park
Day 22
Reflect: How have you changed in the past 2 years?
Will edit later.
Day 21
Reflect: One of your favorite shows.
I love the first 4-5 seasons of Smallville because it outlines the awkward and difficult becomings of a great figure and I relate well with Clark. Clark’s development from a boy to a man is so well documented and his unconditional love for Lana strikes a chord with me. I also really dig the scenery and the soundtrack.
Day 20
Reflect: How important you think education is.
Very. When I have own children, I’d want to send them to great private schools, but I also want them to have a fun time with regular people in public schools. I’m not sure yet. But I want them to go to the best possible college.
I also believe in non-academic education, of which travelling is the best form. I personally want to spend a...
Day 19
Reflect: Disrespecting your parents.
Every child has bouts of rebellion here and there, but there is a certain line that cannot be crossed. As a general rule, anything that disrespects the parent - as an individual, as an elder, or their authority - shouldn’t be tolerated.
In the handful of instances where I was very disrespectful, my parents didn’t take my shit. I’m glad they...

in love at first sight.
we will never grow up.
truth is not absolute.
world peace is not possible.

Day 16
Reflect: Your views on mainstream music.
Mainstream music is mainstream for a reason. Good shit that can appeal to many people. I like it.
Day 15
Reflect: Your favorite tumblrs.
inkless-pen - she always finds the best gems on the internet
poetrycorner - my life in verse
newyorq - my hometown in still frame
fuckyeahwales - I love Celtic landscapes
theworldwelivein - my window to the world
Tumblr needs to add a search feature to integrate gmail or facebook - I need to find my friends on here.
Day 14
Reflect: Your earliest memory.
As I can’t remember what happened first, I’ll recount a few earliest memories.
I remember playing with my newborn brother in the hospital, where he lay next to my mom. I played with my toy trucks and cars, showing them to Dan. I was 3 years old.
I remember standing on my mom’s lap on the passenger seat on our frequent road trips.
I remember...
